Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder & Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridians
Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder
The Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian starts from the outer canthus of the eye, runs along the lateral aspect of the head, body, and lower limb, and ends at the tip of the fourth toe, connecting the gallbladder & communicating with the liver, eye-related organs, and lateral body structures.
Origin:It originates from the fourth (lateral side of the fourth toe) toenail corner (Zuqiaoyin, GB44), ascends along the dorsal side of the foot to the ankle. The internal pathway pertains to the gallbladder & connects with the liver.
Upward Course:From the gallbladder, it ascends along the lateral side of the lower limb, emerging at the hip (Huaniao, GB30).
Superficial Path:Starting from Huaniao (GB30) at the hip, it runs along the lateral side of the trunk (passing through the ribcage and lateral abdomen), ascends to the shoulder area, then curves down to the lateral neck. It continues along the side of the head, passing through the temple (Shuaigu, GB8), and reaches the outer canthus (Tongziliao, GB1). From there, it runs anterior to the ear, connecting with facial structures near the eye and temple.
Branch 1:Emerging from the outer canthus (Tongziliao, GB1), it runs posterior to the eye, connects with the Gallbladder Meridian's temporal branch, and communicates with the eye and brain-related regions.
Branch 2:From the ear area (Wangu, GB12), it branches downward to the neck, intersecting with the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian, and continues along the lateral chest and abdomen to connect with the lower limb pathway.

Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridians
The Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian starts from the lateral big toe, runs along the medial lower limb, ascends to the abdomen and chest, and ends at the head - top. It connects the liver, communicates with the gallbladder, genital system, and medial body structures for qi - blood regulation.
Origin:Begins at the lateral big - toe nail corner (Dadun, LR1), ascends along the foot dorsum to the inner ankle. Internally, it pertains to the liver and connects to the gallbladder.
Upward Course:From the liver, ascends along the medial lower limb, emerging at the inguinal region.
Superficial Path:Starts from the medial lower limb (via Taichong, LR3), runs up the medial thigh, enters the pubic area, ascends the lateral abdomen (via Zhangmen, LR13), through the chest along the sternum’s side to the neck. Then to the supraclavicular fossa, cheek, connecting to the eye system (Muji, LR14 area) and head - top (linking to Du Meridian at Baihui, GV20).
Branch 1:Emerges from the eye system, runs posteriorly to connect with the liver’s cerebral branch, communicating with the eye, brain, and emotional regions.
Branch 2:From the liver’s internal path, a branch descends to link with the gallbladder (via interior - exterior relation), and another spreads through the chest/abdomen to connect with the spleen/stomach, influencing digestion and blood storage.
